My Story:
I grew up on a hobby farm in Ohio. My parents were school teachers who valued thriftiness and encouraged my creativity. Dad was a wood worker and had me straightening bent nails from the time I could hold a hammer. My mother taught me to sew and by high school I was making my own clothes.
College, marriage and family diverted her creative energies for many years. Then, after a house fire on Ash Wednesday 2000, I began making art with a renewed passion. Creating was also my self-therapy. Through quilting and then art quilting I discovered friends with similar interests and found a community.
I have an affinity for fabric and wool. My work draws from many places including my love of pattern, color and repetition. She has a special attraction to geometric forms in nature.

Her work has been featured in Quilting Arts Magazine, Quilting Arts Holiday, Cheshire Herald and Natural Awakenings magazine.
In 2014, I published my first book, Moth At the Window: Poetry of Grover W. Clayton and Recollections of Indiana (Xlibris), combining stories from childhood with historical my grandfather’s poetry.
Under Glass (Finishing Line Press) a poetry chapbook was published in 2019.
